Operating Instructions for the FF3 electric heater

Please ensure you have read and understood these instructions fully, BEFORE attempting to operate this FF3 heater

General Safety

Never place anything on top of the unit and never obstruct its air intake / exhaust grills. Leave a 600 mm gap all round the unit to let the air circulate.
Always switch the heater OFF and unplug when not in use
The FF3 portable heater is fitted with a safety limited ‘over temperature’ thermostat. Should the designed operating temperature be exceeded, this will open circuit the elements.
This will automatically reset as the temperature reduces

Maximum ambient working temperature for the FF3 heater is 40 degrees centigrade

In area’s where several heaters are used simultaneously the positioning of the units is an important consideration

Electrical Safety

These models are available in either 230v or 110v format
230v model, connects to a standard 3 pin 13amp 1 phase 50Hz, 230v socket via its moulded mains lead
110v model, connects to an adequately rated transformer (must be CONTINUOUSLY rated) via its 32 Amp plug

THESE MODELS ARE DESIGNED FOR INTERNAL USE ONLY. DO NOT USE EXTERNALLY

Extension leads should be correctly rated for the inductive load, fully unwound, loosely coiled and never run through water or over sharp edges

Never remove any panels / covers whilst the unit is connected to electrical supply

Connect to a suitable electrical supply
The ON / OFF selector ‘rocker’ switch has the following settings

  • O. OFF. Power is to the switch only
